MAIUM SS26 launches on February. The collection is called Here Comes the Sun. We’re based in Amsterdam, so that title is not a promise. It’s a feeling.

It’s about the return of light and what it does to the city. Days stretch a bit further. Colours look clearer. People move differently. The weather still changes without warning, but you start dressing with more ease.

That is where SS26 sits. Not in peak summer, but in that in-between space where you want outerwear that feels lighter on the body, while still doing the job when the forecast turns.

A calmer design language, with the technical work integrated

For SS26, we kept the collection quiet on purpose. The design language is calm, fluid, and modular. The technical side is integrated into the pieces, not layered on as a statement.

You’ll see it in the construction. Seam taping, waterproof zippers, hidden closures. They sit cleanly within the silhouette, because they are there to support the way the garment wears, not to compete with it. Reflective details are improved as well, because the light comes back, but the city still moves through early mornings and late evenings.

Across all jackets, the waterproof rating remains 10,000mm. Protection stays consistent. The shift this season is in how it feels.

MAIUM SS26 Here Comes The Sun

Designed for mild to warm seasons, built to layer

SS26 is made for movement in milder temperatures, and for layering when the day starts cold and ends warm. It is technical outerwear that stays breathable and wearable across a broad range of spring and summer conditions, without losing the structure that makes it dependable.

We also developed the signature waterproof fabric further, focusing on durability and longevity while keeping the hand feel soft and the movement fluid. The aim is simple: pieces that hold up, and keep feeling good to wear.

The silhouettes we return to, refined again

SS26 is led by the shapes that define MAIUM’s wardrobe. The Original, the Poncho, the Mac and Trench, the Anorak, the Balmacaan.

We return to these silhouettes because they work. Refinement matters more than noise. The collection is designed to live in a wardrobe, not just appear in a campaign.

Colour, guided by light

The palette follows the emotional spectrum of sunlight, moving from softer tones into deeper, warmer shades. Persian blue, amber sun, rustic cedar.

We wanted colour that feels like light rather than decoration. Something that lifts a look, but stays wearable, season after season.

Longevity as the point, not the headline

We focus on durability, construction, and product life. SS26 continues that approach, prioritising pieces that stay in rotation over statements that sound good for a season.

Here Comes the Sun is a collection about light returning, but still designed for real weather. Amsterdam doesn’t change its nature. We just get better at moving with it.

Quick questions

Is MAIUM SS26 waterproof?
Yes. The collection is made to handle real rain, with a 10,000mm waterproof rating across the range.

What does 10,000mm waterproof mean in real life?
It is a measure of how much water pressure a fabric can withstand before it starts letting water through. In practice, it sits in the “proper rain” category for day to day wear.

What makes MAIUM outerwear “technical”?
It comes down to construction and finishing, not just fabric. Think waterproof materials, sealed seams, waterproof zippers, and closures designed to keep weather out while staying comfortable to wear.

Is it made for warmer weather too?
Yes. SS26 is designed for mild to warmer conditions, and for layering when temperatures shift throughout the day.

Which jacket should I start with?
If you want an everyday staple, start with the silhouette that matches how you move. A longer coat (e.g. Original, Lightweight Parka and Poncho) tends to feel more protective in wind and rain, while shorter (e.g. Anorak and Mac Short) shapes can feel easier for layering. The best quick decision is length and how you like your fit.

Is the collection good for cycling and commuting?
Yes. MAIUM is designed around movement in the city.

How do I care for MAIUM rainwear?
Check the washing instructions on the product page for your specific style, since care can vary by fabric and padding. In general, MAIUM raincoats are washed on a fine or delicate cycle at 30°C max, with zippers closed, and no fabric softener. Air dry only (no tumble dryer), hang it on a hanger to keep its shape, and if needed you can gently add heat to help reactivate the water repellent finish.

How does MAIUM think about sustainability?
We focus on longevity first: durable construction and pieces designed to stay in rotation. We use recycled materials wherever possible, including recycled polyester made from PET bottles (RPET) and recycled nylon, and more than 90% of the materials in our jackets come from sustainable sources. For example, the Original is made from 66 recycled PET bottles, the Mac from 99, and the Trench from 111.
