Lenovo asked us to design an innovative, experimental, and fashion-forward garment for the Lenovo Tab Wear collection that centered on “me-time.” Immersing yourself in “me-time” allows you to prioritize your well-being while doing what you want, wherever and whenever you want.
Our design is inspired by metamorphoses in nature, such as a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. We wanted to design a garment that feels so comfortable you won’t want to take it off, but that also transforms into something functional and fashionable. At first glance, this looks like an ordinary poncho, but when it’s inflated, it’s almost magical: the jacket becomes a cozy cocoon. When the jacket is transformed into a hammock, the wearer can feel just like a butterfly in a cocoon and enjoy some “me time” in nature. The jacket is made from 66 recycled PET bottles, designed to have a low carbon footprint, and is handmade by certified manufacturers.
